A Different Kind Of IRON MAIDEN Tribute: 'Food For Thought'

"Food For Thought" is the name of a new IRON MAIDEN album being released on July 9.

If IRON MAIDEN were jazz, MOTÖRHEAD or SIMON AND GARFUNKEL, what would they sound like? Or if they were bossanova, funk, AC/DC or played by the camping fire? The answers to those questions can be found on "Food for Thought". Masterminds behind the project are Swedes Henrik Johansson and Mattias Reinholdsson, who were previously in the now-defunct BOOK OF HOURS. Assisting them on the compilation are L-G Petrov (ENTOMBED),Björn Flodkvist (ENTER THE HUNT, ex-CANDLEMASS, GONE),Chris Dale (SACK TRICK, BRUCE DICKINSON),Bo Lindberg (HOVEN DROVEN) and Marko Manninen (ALAMAAILMAN VASARAT),among others. Even IRON MAIDEN's own bodyguard Peter Lokrantz is featured. Talented friends have helped out by playing key harp, banjo, accordion, cello and guitar, where needed.

"Food For Thought" will be released worldwide through the web site www.food-for-thought.tk. The complete track listing for the album is as follows:
